Q: Are SpeedDating.lu events planned so that guests get to speak to everyone, or do I have to contact the people I see myself?
A: Every guest at the event will start off the evening seated at a table for two. There will be one lady and one gentleman at each table. When the bell rings, after every 4 minutes, the gentlemen moves to the next table, and gets to speak to a new lady. The ladies remain seated throughout the event. So each gentleman is guaranteed to meet each lady and vice versa.

Q: Will I need to make a decision after meeting each person, or can I wait?
A: We recommend that you make your choice ‘love’, ‘friend’ or ‘nothing’ directly after meeting each person. It is always very difficult to remember who was who after you have spoken to more than 4 other guests.

Q: If I choose ‘love’ and the other person only chooses ‘friend’, will I have a matching email sent to me?
A: If both guests choose ‘love’, you will receive a Love Match e-mail. This will inform you both of each other’s email addresses. If one person chooses ‘love’ and the other person chooses ‘friend’, you will both have a Friendship e-mail. You will be informed of the other’s email address. If a person chooses ‘No’, all communication stop. No matching emails are sent out.

Q: How long does an event usually last?
A: This depends on the number of participants. When we host 30-34 participants, the event lasts approximately 2 hours.

Q: Do you serve food at your events?
A: We normally offer snacks in the middle of the event. But please make sure you eat beforehand if you know you will get really hungry later in the evening.
